ISELIN, N.J. — Allegiance Retail Services on Monday said it has named Eugene Fradella vice president and chief financial officer.

ISELIN, N.J. — Allegiance Retail Services on Monday said it has named Eugene Fradella vice president and chief financial officer.

Fradella will assume responsibility for all financial, accounting and information technology functions for the company, which provides servcies for the Foodtown cooperative and other retailers.

Fradella has more than 35 years of experience in the supermarket industry. He began his career with Wakefern Food Corp., where he worked for 25 years in a variety of accounting positions. In 2003, he joined New York-based Metro Drugs as controller, and in 2006, was recruited as controller for the Drug Fair Group, Somerset, N.J. In 2009, he joined New York-based Gristedes as director of finance. His most recent position was controller at Brown’s Super Stores, a Westville, N.J.-based operator of 10 ShopRite supermarkets.

"Gene’s vast knowledge of both wholesale and retail accounting systems will go a long way towards enhancing the services we provide to our membership,” Michael Stolarz, president and chief operating officer of Allegiance, said. “I am proud to welcome Gene to the Allegiance team.”
