Wakefern to host hiring events in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

The grocery cooperative is looking to fill warehouse selector positions at its distribution centers.

Wakefern Food Corp., the largest retailer-owned grocery cooperative in the U.S., is looking to ease its labor shortages by hosting hiring fairs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania this month.

The job fairs will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, the company announced on its website.

Wakefern, which owns and operates supermarkets under the ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Market, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market banners, said it is looking to fill a number of  warehouse selector positions to help prepare shipments for delivery to supermarkets. Positions are open at Wakefern’s distribution centers in Elizabeth, Jamesburg, Keasbey, N.J, and Breinigsville, Penn., Wakefern said.

The hiring fairs will take place at the following locations:

  • Elizabeth, NJ: 600 York Street, Elizabeth, N.J.

  • Jamesburg, NJ: 355 Davidsons Mill Road, Jamesburg N.J.

  • Keasbey, NJ: 5000 Riverside Drive, Keasbey, N.J.

  • Breinigsville, PA: 8301 Industrial Boulevard, Breinigsville, Penn.
