Seaboard Farms Adds VP Slot
KENNESAW, Ga. -- Seaboard Farms here has named Marvin Green vice president of operations, part of a restructuring move. In his new position, Green is in charge of production operations at the company's processing and further processing plants in Athens, Canton and Elberton, Ga.; Mayfield, Ky., and Chattanooga, Tenn.
He reports to Don Jackson, president of Seaboard Farms. Green was vice president of the company's food-service operations, and prior to that was general manager for individual plants.
At the same time, Seaboard announced that Steve Schwartz has been named retail sales manager for Seaboard Farms of Athens Inc., succeeding Jeff Stokey, who has left the company. Schwartz was regional sales manager. He reports to Steve Bass, vice president of sales and marketing.
