Bogopa Services Corp.’s newest Food Bazaar supermarket, which opened in December in the Long Island City section of Queens, reflects the tastes of its diverse borough.

The 75,000 square foot store, at the site of a Pathmark closed by A&P in 2012, is the first store to utilize the expanded NYC Business Acceleration programming, providing faster progress through regulatory approvals. The store also qualified for FRESH financing, which supports increased access to healthy foods in underserved neighborhoods.

The store is the largest of Food Bazaar’s 18 locations. It features service departments and deep international food selections serving area populations including Korean, Chinese and Hispanic.
