The California Grocers Association (CGA) launched its first podcast, CGA Radio, for grocery and food industry professionals on Friday, July 28, 2023.  The podcast explores the people, ideas, and brands shaping California’s grocery community.

Hosted by Grace Becker from the California Grocers Association, the first season of CGA Radio introduces listeners to “people you should meet” in the food and grocery business.

Insightful guests help draw connections between the food industry and the world around us, lending their perspective on compelling topics from education to food insecurity, store design, organics, and solving hunger.

“CGA Radio thoughtfully peels back different layers of the food and grocery world to allow those working in the industry to connect more deeply to their field,” said CGA Senior Director of Communications Nate Rose.

Season one guests include VP of Construction & Maintenance for Cardenas Markets Veronica Jimenez, Social Impact Entrepreneur Mark Brand, President and CEO of CGA Ron Fong, SVP of Store Operations for Raley’s Levi Wingo, and Principal and Owner of Todd Linsky Consulting Todd Linsky.

“CGA is thrilled to release its first-ever podcast to allow members to engage with another side of the industry,” said CGA President and CEO Ron Fong.

The first season consists of five episodes and is supported by Kimberly-Clark Corporation. CGA Radio is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify. Listeners can subscribe to be notified of new episodes. Season two will come later this year.
