From March 26-29, 2023, at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island Resort and Club in Amelia Island, Florida, the premier annual event will offer baking industry leaders four days of business sessions, expert speakers, and B2B networking. The 2023 ABA Convention is NEW with a reworked schedule, new events, and a new experience for attendees.

The innovative sessions will equip leaders with new business insights and tools to stay nimble and adapt to the rapidly evolving world. Nearly 500 bakers, suppliers, and industry partners will gather to network, learn the latest trends and best practices, and prepare for the future.
New findings from an update of the Life Through the Lens of Bakery study will be unveiled at Convention. Industry trends expert, Anne-Marie Roerink, will lead a panel discussion with bakery, grocery retail, and foodservice companies, she will share a fresh picture on opportunities for bakery growth at home and away from home.
“Attendees can expect high-caliber speakers and panel discussions along with more opportunities to form connections with industry peers,” said Christina Donnelly, Director of Industry Relations and Strategic Initiatives, ABA.
Another panel, led by IRI Principal, Jonna Parker, will explore the ways in which digital is revolutionizing finding and buying products. The panel session Taking a Boundaryless Approach to the Consumer will share best practices for the omnichannel world of today and how baking companies can successfully enhance their presence in all retail settings to reach the boundaryless shopper.
In addition to these dynamic panels, attendees will gain valuable insights from the two keynote speakers. During the Opening Keynote, Former Apple and Tesla Executive George Blankenship will show attendees how to build their brands based on the unique value that each company provides and how to market and attract new customers. In the Leadership Keynote, Lt. Col. Scott Mann will recount the heart-wrenching story of secretly moving Afghans through holes in the airport perimeter known as the Pineapple Express. He will outline powerful methods to foster better trust and connection using time-tested Green Beret interpersonal skills that any organization can adapt.
