SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Hannaford is reaching out to football fans with a Facebook recipe contest for a $500 Hannaford gift card.
The “Football Frenzy Fan-Favorite" recipe contest is open to all those who submit a recipe for and photo of a football-friendly appetizer, main dish, stew, salad, dessert or snack.
“Cook up your original recipe, snap a pic and enter to win,” Hannaford writes in promotional materials.
Along with the $500 grand prize, a second-prize winner will get a $400 gift card; third prize, $300 gift card.
Hannaford's Facebook fans can vote on all entered recipes on Hannaford’s Facebook page from Feb. 4-17.
“So get your friends and family in the game by having them 'like' our page and vote for your entry,” Hannaford states.
Hannaford will test the Top 5 recipes, and decide on the final prize winners by taste and originality.
