The hand-rolled bread is made with a “special blend of cinnamon and sugar,” and baked in-store. Also known as African coffee cake and other names, the bread is a sweet, gooey pastry commonly served at fairs and other events.

The retailer is offering a digital $1 off coupon on Hannaford.com.

In other news, the retailer has launched a Halloween trash bag costume contest. Paper, plastic or reusable bags can be used to make a costume. The winning photo submission will get a $100 Hannaford gift card.

The contest ends Oct. 30 and winners will be announced on Halloween.
