San Diego-based Barons Market is debuting olive oil and vinegar tasting stations in all six stores.

The stations feature 10 exotic olive oils and 14 vinegars in shiny silver vats, accompanied by bread for dipping. Flavors include Citrus Habanero Olive Oil and Honey Ginger White Balsamic Vinegar with classic balsamic and high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Twelve-ounce bottles are priced at $9.99.

“We’ve always been the place shoppers go for good foods at good prices, but now we’re introducing a specialty side,” said Rachel Shemirani, VP of marketing at Barons, in a statement. “You wouldn’t expect to taste artisan olive oils and vinegars inside of a grocery store. It’s our newest way of making grocery shopping more exciting and interactive.”

Barons plans to also include the tasting bar, which first appeared in its Murrieta location in 2015, in its newest location opening in the North Park area of San Diego later this year.
