DoorDash and Instacart can now deliver beer and wine in the state of New Jersey, reports CBS News.

State regulators approved the alcohol permits, which cost $2,000, for the delivery app companies. However, the exchange can only take place at residences and not college campuses, hotels, or BYOB restaurants.

DoorDash responded to the permit approval by putting new safety measures in place. Drivers need to confirm the shopper’s age and ID twice, once before the first purchase and a second time at the door before the delivery.

Canceled deliveries will result in alcohol being returned to the store while still compensating the driver for the trip.

“This is a huge step forward for consumers across New Jersey who will now be able to enjoy the convenience of having alcohol delivered safely to their doors from their favorite local businesses through the DoorDash platform,” Erik Ragotte, DoorDash’s general manager of alcohol and convenience, said in a statement.
