A&P Converts Two More Stores to Pathmark

A&P yesterday said it has converted two more stores in the Philadelphia area to its price-impact Pathmark format.

MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here yesterday said it has converted two more stores in the Philadelphia area to its price-impact Pathmark format. The stores, located in Boothwyn and Berwyn, Pa., will have grand openings this Friday. A&P previously disclosed plans to convert 26 existing Pathmarks in the region to the price-impact Sav-A-Center format in addition to the majority of its existing SuperFresh stores. Pathmark’s price-impact format presents a variety of value programs that make the stores a “destination price leader,” A&P said.
