Aldi Plans March 18 Debut for Texas Stores
Limited-assortment discount grocer Aldi will open its first 11 Texas stores, all in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, the company said.

DENTON, Texas — Limited-assortment discount grocer Aldi will open its first 11 Texas stores, all in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, on March 18, the company said Monday.
As previously reported, the German-owned chain, with U.S. headquarters in Batavia, Ill., plans a total of 27 North Texas stores in the next few months, including nine set to to open in April and an additional seven scheduled to open in May.
Aldi said it will have invested more than $150 million in capital expenditures in the Texas market, including a $50 million, 500,000-square-foot distribution center, which employs about 75 people.
