CGA Names Bailey VP, Government Relations

The California Grocers Association here said it has hired Keri Bailey as vice president, government relations.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The California Grocers Association here said it has hired Keri Bailey as vice president, government relations. She succeeds Kristin Power, who left CGA.

Bailey was formerly director of state government affairs for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, and earlier worked as an aide to four legislators in the California Assembly.

At CGA she will be responsible for managing government relations at the state and local level and will serve as the association's chief lobbyist.

Ron Fong, CGA president and chief executive officer, said the association plans to expand its sphere of influence at the state and local levels and believes Bailey's legislative experience and knowledge will play a pivotal role in reaching that goal.
