Union workers at D’Agostino Supermarkets are scheduled to vote this week on a proposed contract with the retailer.

United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500 has been working on month-to-month contracts with D’Agostino since its last contract expired 13 months ago. The union represents 1,000 workers at the chain, which operates 13 stores in New York.

“We’re optimistic this tentative agreement will secure a good future for all our members working at D’Agostino,” Terry Quinones, lead negotiator for the union, said in a statement.

D’Agostino reportedly has been struggling amid new competition.
