COLUMBUS, Ohio — Union Township Clermont County CIC has closed on the purchase of a former Bigg’s shopping center, paving the way for a second location of Jungle Jim’s International Market.

The specialty grocer, based in Fairfield, Ohio, will open its new location here in February 2012, according to local reports. Owners of the site have structured a long-term lease for Jungle Jim’s, according to Colliers International, which represented the seller.

Jungle Jim’s will occupy space formerly belonging to Bigg’s, the hypermarket chain whose sites were sold and/or closed by Supervalu last year.
