Demoulas Opens Biggest Store: Report

CHELSEA, Mass. — Demoulas Market Basket has opened what reports said is the largest supermarket in the state, a 135,000-square-foot store here employing 300 workers.

The location includes a café and full-service bakery, according to a report in the Boston Business Journal. Tewksbury, Mass.-based Market Basket operates 60 stores in New England generating an estimated $2.8 billion in annual revenues.
