The discontinuation of double coupons accompanies lower everyday retail prices on thousands of items. Cincinnati-based Kroger has been rolling out the program in a number of markets, including most recently its stores in the Houston area.

The “refresh” initiative also includes a renewed emphasis on shopping experience including faster checkouts, fuel discounts, local products and community relations.

The Dillons Stores division includes Dillons, Gerbes and Bakers stores in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
