PORTLAND, Maine — Diversified Business Communications here announced the addition of Cultural Food to its series of ethnic food and beverage business events and online communities. Cultural Food will include newsletters, websites and events in New York and Los Angeles. “New product launches, networking and grassroots connections with growing Hispanic, Asian and Kosher businesses are at the heart of the Cultural Food branding,” said Brian Randall, group vice president of Diversified, in a statement. Diversified launched Expo Comida Latina in 2002, a series of Hispanic food and beverage events in New York, Los Angeles and Houston. In 2003, it acquired the Kosherfest event and KosherToday, a business newsletter. It launched All Asia Food in New York in 2004 and All Asia Food in Los Angeles in 2005. One dollar out of every $7 spent today on food and beverages in the U.S. is spent on ethnic foods, according to Randall.
