Festival Food plans Janesville, Wis., store
Festival Foods announced plans to open its 22nd store this fall.

Festival Foods, Onalaska, Wis., announced plans to open its 22nd store this fall in Janesville, Wis., continuing the independent retailer's steady store growth.
The 77,000-square-foot location will operate 24 hours and will have natural and organic options, fresh sushi, a hot food bar, a seating area above the deli, catering services, a community conference room and a "Tot Spot" child care services, the company said.
The store will also have LED and motion sensor lighting.
“The new store will exemplify Festival Foods’ continuing commitment to selection, pricing and service excellence,” president and CEO Mark Skogen said in a press release.
“In today’s marketplace, consumers have high expectations for the value they receive for their money as well as how they are treated. We are excited about the opportunity to offer Janesville guests value-driven pricing, a wide selection that includes healthy choices, and a great shopping experience.”
Festival Foods plans to purchase a vacant building previously occupied by Kmart, and demolish the structure and build the Janesville store from the ground up.
Festival Foods currently operates 20 stores, with an urban Madison store slated to open in September 2015.
