The Food Emporium on Wednesday closed its 32nd Street location on the East Side of Manhattan, leaving the chain with 12 stores.

Food Emporium is operated by A&P, Montvale, N.J. A company official told SN Wednesday there were no additional planned closings.

In December, Food Emporium closed its location near East 87th Street on the Upper East Side. Both the 87th Street and 32nd Street locations have been impacted by new competition including neighboring Fairway Market stores at both sites, sources said.
