Food For All said Wednesday it raised more than $4.05 million during the 2009 Food For All holiday season fund-raising campaign.

FALLS CHURCH, Va. — Food For All here said Wednesday it raised more than $4.05 million during the 2009 Food For All holiday season fundraising campaign.

Supermarket customers were able to donate by selecting a $1, $3 or $5 donation coupon from the checkout stand and having it scanned by the cashier.

Proceeds from the campaign were allocated to hundreds of community-based non profits across the country as selected by the retailer.

The following retailers participated: Acme, Albertsons LLC, Adams Super Food Stores, Beachwood Market, Big Y, The Markets LLC, Dorothy Lane Markets, Draeger’s Markets, El Rancho Market, Fresh Encounter, Farm Fresh, Food City, Gelson’s, Giant-Landover, Greenbelt Cooperative, Greenlife Grocery, Grand Union Markets, Hahn’s Market, ornbacher’s, HOWS Markets, Jewel-Osco, KV Mart, Lowe’s Food Stores, Magruder’s Supermarkets, Marsh/O’Malia’s, Mollie Stone’s Nash Finch, Pennington Supermarkets, Publix Super Markets, Riesbeck’s Food Markets, Rice Epicurean Markets, Shop 'n Save, Shopper’s Food & Pharmacy, Straub’s and Superior Super Warehouse.
