WEXFORD, Pa. — A Giant Eagle store here has been approved for conversion into the chain's expanded Market District format, reports said Friday.

The store, which opened in February 2008, would include additional prepared-food offerings and a patio with outdoor seating, according to a report in the Pine-Richland Patch. Plans also call for an expanded health, beauty and wellness department "that has received extremely positive customer feedback," the article said.

Giant Eagle currently has four Market District stores — three in Pittsburgh and one in Columbus, Ohio.
