Grocery Outlet to acquire 6 Fresh & Easy sites

A judge in Fresh & Easy’s bankruptcy case has approved the sale of six of Fresh & Easy's California stores to Grocery Outlet for $205,000.

A judge in Fresh & Easy’s bankruptcy case has approved the sale of six of Fresh & Easy's California stores to Grocery Outlet for $205,000.

The stores are located in Orange, Rosemead, Long Beach, Downey, Whittier and Sunnyvale, and include alcoholic beverage licenses at all of the locations, according to court documents.

Emeryville, Calif.-based Grocery Outlet has said it planned to expand to the Los Angeles market in coming months. El Segundo, Calif.-based Fresh & Easy filed for Chapter 11 protection in October with the intention if closing and selling all of its locations.
