ISELIN, N.J. — Allegiance Retail Services here on Monday announced the grand opening of the Brooklyn Harvest Market in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Harvest Market features a large perishables selection.
The store, located in the ground floor of a high-rise condominium on Williamsburg’s waterfront, is owned by Nasri Abed, who owns three other stores with Allegiance including the nearby Williamsburg Foodtown.
Allegiance described Brooklyn Harvest Market as a primarily conventional supermarket offering a large selection of prepared foods, extended produce, deli and meat departments, and a wide variety of natural and organic items.
“By partnering with Allegiance, I have continued to grow my existing Foodtown stores’ sales base, plus expand into a new banner that meets the needs of the Williamsburg community. Brooklyn Harvest is perfect for the Williamsburg shopper who desires natural and organic products,” Abed said in a statement.
Whole Foods Market is planning to locate in the Williamsburg market next year.
