Retailers Horbacher’s and Bruggeman’s will each be acquiring one Super One location from Miner’s Inc.

Supervalu banner Hornbacher’s operates seven stores in the Fargo, North Dakota and Moorhead, Minn. area and will acquire the Super One location in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

“For over 60 years, Hornbacher’s has been an integral part of the Fargo-Moorhead community and for many years we’ve been asked when we would bring one of our stores north to Grand Forks. The time is now,” said Matt Leiseth, president of Hornbacher’s, in a press release.

Bruggeman’s, a one store independent in Mahnomen, Minn., will acquire Super One’s Thief River Falls, Minn. store. Bruggemen’s is supplied by Supervalu.

“As a single store owner for the past 29 years, we know the importance of a hands-on approach to running a grocery store. Our customer service and community focus helped make us successful in Mahnomen and we plan to bring the same level of service and commitment to this store and the Thief River Falls community,” said Rob Bruggeman, owner and president of Bruggeman’s Supervalu.

The deals are expected to close in August.

Miner’s, based in Duluth, Minn., operates 35 Super One stores in the Midwest.

This story was corrected to reflect that Bruggeman's is a Minnesota retailer and that the city of Manhnomen, the city of Moorhead, and the city of Thief River Falls are located in Minnesota.
