Legislative Leader Fleagle Honored

LAS VEGAS — Jerry Fleagle, president of the Iowa Grocery Industry Association, was presented with the Donald H. McManus Association Executive Award at the Food Marketing Institute Show here last week.

In presenting the award, which recognizes public-affairs leadership, Tim Hammonds, president and chief executive officer of FMI, noted that Fleagle's two decades of experience as a food retailer gave him valuable insight into the industry in his efforts on behalf of the industry both in his home state and nationally as chairman of the Food Industry Association Executives.
