Mid-Atlantic Workers Approve Pact

BALTIMORE -- Workers at Safeway and Giant Food stores in this region voted to approve a new contract yesterday with two locals of the United Food and Commercial Workers, according to reports. The four-year contracts cover about 23,000 members of UFCW Locals 400 and 27.
