Allegiance Retail Services on Friday announced the grand opening of a new Foodtown store in Howard Beach, N.Y.

The store is owned by the newest Allegiance member, Fahmi Shehadeh, and anchors the newly built Linden Shopping Center on 79th Street in Howard Beach, Queens. The supermarket is situated directly below an upscale LA Fitness gym, and offers both above and underground parking for shoppers.

The Howard Beach Foodtown offers a butcher shop, a store-prepared-sushi department, hot and cold prepared foods, plus natural, organic and international products to serve the diverse community.

“We are thrilled to serve the consumer with all of the features and services Foodtown has to offer. By partnering with Allegiance, we are able to bring the well-known Foodtown banner to this community,” said Shehadeh.
