KEASBEY, N.J. — Three of the 11 Shaw's locations in Connecticut that are being sold to ShopRite operators will be owned by new members of Wakefern Food Corp., the cooperative said.

Charles Joseph and his family, of Joseph Family Markets, will own the Canton and West Hartford locations, and Raymond Miller and his family, of Miller Farms Family Markets, will own the store in Enfield.

Joseph previously was general manager of ShopRite of Hunterdon County, a three-store Wakefern member in New Jersey. He had spent 12 years in that position. Miller spent 34 years at Wakefern Food Corp. in various positions, most recently as manager of retail operations.

Miller's responsibilities will be assumed by Paul Gotthelf, a 14-year Wakefern veteran who had reported to Miller as manager of retail initiatives. Gotthelf's title will be director of retail initiatives.

The remaining eight acquired stores in Connecticut will be owned and operated by existing Wakefern members.
