Niemann Foods to Acquire C-Store Chain

Niemann Foods here has agreed to acquire 16 convenience stores operating under the Pick-A-Dilly banner from Big River Oil, Hanniball, Mo.

QUINCY, Ill. — Niemann Foods here has agreed to acquire 16 convenience stores operating under the Pick-A-Dilly banner from Big River Oil, Hanniball, Mo.

Niemann, which operates supermarkets under the County Market and Save-A-Lot banners and 12 convenience stores under the County Market Express banner, said it would continue to operate the stores under their current banner and that Big River would continue to provide fuel at the stores. A purchase price was not disclosed for the transaction, which is expected to close next month.

Niemann also recently completed the acquisition of the Shell One Stop Convenience store located in Quincy. “Our recent growth demonstrates NFI’s commitment to the area. As a locally owned and operated business we are committed to our associates, our customers and the communities we serve." Gerry Kettler, director of community affairs for Niemann Foods, said in a statement.
