Paradise operates neighborhood markets located in Novato, Corte Madera and Tiburon, offering an extensive selection of natural, organic and local products, as well as a full line of prepared foods that include new and old world classic dishes. Paradise Foods also offers full-service catering. The family-run business was founded in Corte Madera 14 years ago.
“I am thrilled to have found a strong retailer that will continue to offer my employees a dynamic culture and a secure work environment, while maintaining a strong focus on quality perishables, local and organic groceries, and our community,” Paradise owner David Gilmour said in a release. Gilmour said he would be leaving the company to work toward establishing the Marin office for Awareness Foundation America.

Eric Stille, CEO and president of Nugget, said he was “ecstatic” at the opportunity. “We’ve been looking to expand into the Marin community for a number of years and when David approached us, I knew it was a perfect fit. Paradise Foods and Nugget Markets share similar goals and values, and we both have built our businesses on quality, selection and service,” he said.
Nugget is expected to convert the stores to the Nugget banner after remodeling them, according to local reports.
