BROOKINGS, Ore. — C&K Market here said it raised $77,000 at its 22nd annual Ray's Charitable Foundation Golf Classic & Dinner — more than double last year's total of $30,000.

The funds will go to Children's Miracle Network, plus two local schools — the Crater High School Foundation and Phoenix High School, which will receive donations in the form of several scholarships for graduating seniors.

With the extra money raised, the company said additional funds will be used to support other non-profit organizations around southern Oregon and northern California. Part of the reason for the increase in funds raised, the company said, was a change of venue to a facility with a dual course, single shotgun format rather than one course with two flights.
