Peapod Expands in Northeast

QUINCY, Mass. — Peapod by Stop & Shop, the online grocery service owned by Ahold, on Monday unveiled 40 new communities in the Northeast where it has added delivery service.

QUINCY, Mass. — Peapod by Stop & Shop, the online grocery service owned by Ahold, on Monday unveiled 40 new communities in the Northeast where it has added delivery service.

The new markets now include all of the New York City borough of Queens, as well as large portions of Staten Island and Brooklyn. In addition, as previously reported by SN, the New Jersey communities of Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken and Long Beach Island have recently been added to the delivery area, along with several other nearby towns.

The Massachusetts towns of Eastham, Falmouth and North Falmouth, and the New Hampshire towns of Atkinson, Kingston, Newton, Plaistow and Salem have also been added to Peapod's delivery areas.
