LAS VEGAS — PepsiCo donated $150,000 to the Food Marketing Institute in support of Future Connect, the educational conference aimed at developing the food distribution industry's talent pipeline, scheduled to launch next May in Dallas.

Indra K. Nooyi, chairman and chief executive officer, PepsiCo, presented the check to the FMI board of directors at a dinner here during the FMI Show last month.

Also on hand for the presentation were Steve Smith, president and CEO of K-VA-T Food Stores, and chairman of FMI; Tim Hammonds, president and CEO of FMI; and Ric Jurgens, chairman, CEO and president of Hy-Vee, and vice chairman of FMI.
