Second Harvest to Honor Brown, Stater Bros.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Jack H. Brown, chairman and chief executive officer of Stater Bros. Supermarkets here, is schedued to receive the first "lifetime achievement award" presented by the Second Harvest Food Bank here.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Jack H. Brown, chairman and chief executive officer of Stater Bros. Markets here, is schedued to receive the first "lifetime achievement award" presented by the Second Harvest Food Bank here. At the same time the chain will receive the food bank's Diamond Award.

Second Harvest said Brown and Stater Bros. are being recognized for their commitment to hunger relief, noting that since 1988 the company has donated more than $90 million worth of food to Southern California food banks.

The awards presentations are scheduled to be held Saturday evening, prior to the start of the Inland Empire 66ers' baseball game here.
