FOX CHAPEL, Pa. — Services are scheduled today for Stanley Moravitz, who helped found the Giant Eagle supermarket chain and later served as its vice president, treasurer and a member of its board, reports said.
Moravitz’s father began the OK Grocery in Turtle Creek, Pa., which later merged with Eagle Grocery and grew into Giant Eagle. Moravitz, 86, died at his Pittsburgh-area home Sunday, the Associated Press reported.
