Smith’s, Food 4 Less Workers Strike New Deal
Kroger said Friday that employees who are members of United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 711 here have ratified a new labor agreement with the company’s Smith’s Food & Drug and Food 4 Less divisions.

LAS VEGAS — Kroger said Friday that employees who are members of United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 711 here have ratified a new labor agreement with the company’s Smith’s Food & Drug and Food 4 Less divisions.
The agreement “maintains quality jobs and affordable health care for our associates and their families in this challenging economy and keeps our stores competitive,” Kroger said in a statement.
The deal covers more than 2,800 Smith’s employees and 900 Food 4 Less workers at 47 stores in Las Vegas.
