Smith's Promotes Juergensen, Day

SALT LAKE CITY — Smith's Food & Drug Stores here, a division of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., said it named Colleen Juergensen vice president of operations and Zane Day vice president of merchandising.

SALT LAKE CITY — Smith's Food & Drug Stores here, a division of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., said it named Colleen Juergensen vice president of operations and Zane Day vice president of merchandising.

Juergensen, who succeeds Day, was formerly vice president, operations, for Kroger's Dillon Cos. division, where she spent 31 years.

Day, who has been with Smtih's 38 years, succeeds Ken Kimble, who moved to Kroger's Ralphs division as vice president, merchandising.

Smith's operates 133 stores in the Intermountain West.
