Stop & Shop said it would re-open five Connecticut stores it acquired from Shaw’s under the Stop & Shop banner this Friday.

QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop here said it would re-open five Connecticut stores it acquired from Shaw’s under the Stop & Shop banner this Friday.
The stores, located in Darien, East Hampton, New Fairfield, Newington and Vernon, were closed earlier this month for minor renovations and product replacement.
Shaw’s, a division of Supervalu, sold the stores earlier this year as part of its exit from the Connecticut market.
