Target Corp. is expanding its adult beverage line with the summertime addition of Casa Cantina ready-to-drink craft cocktails.

Casa Cantina, announced yesterday, joins the Minneapolis-based retailer’s curated alcoholic drink assortment of more than 500 brands across its Wine & Spirit Selects collection, national brands and Black-owned brands, as well as local craft options.

Available in three flavors — Classic Margarita, Strawberry Margarita and Piña Colada — at most Target locations, Casa Cantina is crafted with premium ingredients like real strawberry puree, pineapple, coconut and 100% de agave wine. The beverage, which contains an ABV of 13.9%, is vegan and free of gluten, high-fructose corn syrup and artificial sweeteners and flavors.

The cocktails come in 1.5-liter bottles and 3-liter boxes. The entire assortment is priced under $18, with most products less than $10.

Casa Cantina is now available at more than 1,200 Target stores and can be ordered for same-day delivery and in-store or curbside pickup.

Target said Casa Cantina is launched right in time for summer activities amid customer demand that is higher than ever for RTD items.

“We know our guests are increasingly looking for convenient adult beverage offerings,” Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief food and beverage officer at Target, said in a statement. “That’s why we’re excited to introduce Casa Cantina, an assortment of ready-to-drink craft cocktails that delivers great taste and high quality at an incredible value.”

Target reported that its adult beverage business and market share have nearly doubled in the last five years, and that customers who purchase alcoholic beverages average 60% larger baskets overall. And as part of its REACH commitment, Target has more than quadrupled its assortment of Black-owned adult beverage brands over the last two years.

Casa Cantina is now carried at more than 1,200 Target stores, and customers can order the drinks through Target’s same-day services — Order Pickup (in-store pickup), Drive Up (curbside pickup) and Shipt (same-day delivery) — in most stores with adult beverage products.

“At Target, our approach is to help guests discover the joy of food during life’s everyday moments,” Gomez added. “Whether it’s quality craft cocktails and protein for the grill or seasonal salad kits and freshly prepared deli sides, we’re proud to offer that only-at-Target combination of convenience, value and inspiration.”
