Unified Wins Seattle's End Hunger Award

The Seattle division of Unified Grocers has received the 2010 Mayor's End Hunger Award for Community Leadership from the Seattle Food Committee and Meals Partnership Coalition.

LOS ANGELES — The Seattle division of Unified Grocers here has received the 2010 Mayor's End Hunger Award for Community Leadership from the Seattle Food Committee and Meals Partnership Coalition.

Unified received the award for donating more than 2 million pounds of food to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Seattle and 30 other feeding programs over the past two years.
