Union Extends Contract With ShopRite, Pathmark

The union representing workers at ShopRite and Pathmark stores in three New York counties have agreed to extend their contract as negotiations with employers continue. United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1262 here said it was scheduled to return to the bargaining table Tuesday and Wednesday after agreeing to extend a contract that would have expired on Friday. The union represents Pathmark and ShopRite workers in Rockland, Orange and Ulster counties in New York.

CLIFTON PARK, N.J. — The union representing workers at ShopRite and Pathmark stores in three New York counties have agreed to extend their contract as negotiations with employers continue.

United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1262 here said it was scheduled to return to the bargaining table Tuesday and Wednesday after agreeing to extend a contract that would have expired on Friday.
