PHOENIX — Five employees at Fry's supermarkets in this area have filed unfair labor-practices complaints with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging that the chain and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union are continuing to deduct union dues even though they have left the union, according to reports.

The employees said they resigned from the union during the negotiations that led to the signing of a new, three-year contract earlier this month. Neither the union nor Fry's, which is a division of Cincinnati-based Kroger Co., could be reached for comment yesterday.
