Young Named Real Estate SVP at Fresh Market
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Fresh Market on Monday said it has named Randall A. Young senior vice president real estate and development, effective Sept. 30.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Fresh Market on Monday said it has named Randall A. Young senior vice president real estate and development, effective Sept. 30.
Young, 56, will oversee the company's real estate and development functions including market strategy development, site selection, store design, construction, store relocations and renovations.
He succeeds Randy Kelley, who left in May to pursue another opportunity, The Fresh Market said at that time. In the interim, Rob Koch, senior director of real estate, and Steve Showalter, vice president of construction, were to oversee real estate and development, respectively.

"With more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, Randy's broad corporate experience and deep industry relationships are a great fit as The Fresh Market executes on its aggressive national store growth strategy."

Young most recently was vice president of real estate at Advance Auto Parts. Previously, he was managing vice president of site acquisition and development at Cedarwood Development; president of real estate at Clear Channel Entertainment; and held a variety of real estate and construction roles at McDonald's Corp.
The move comes as The Fresh Market continues its aggressive expansion strategy, projecting 15% growth in new units annually.
