BRAMPTON, Ontario — Staff members at Zehrs stores this weekend will don 1950s inspired uniforms as Loblaw here begins to celebrate the 60th anniversary of its Zehrs banner.

Locations throughout the 24-store store chain will provide a series of games and activities inspired by 1950s pop culture and stores will be outfitted with a jukebox and antique cars in the parking lot as part of the event, which begins April 10 and lasts through June 27.

Zehrs opened its first store in Southwestern Ontario in July of 1950. It was acquired by Loblaw in 1963.
