ShopRite is expanding its Farm to Table meal solutions program to three more locations, the grocer announced recently.

The store-within-a-store program, introduced in 2021, sells fresh, on-trend foods and easy-to-prepare ingredients in a variety of grab-and-go formats.

The Wakefern Food Corp. banner locations in Norwich and New London, Connecticut as well as on Aramingo Avenue in Philadelphia now feature Fresh to Table meal options under the platform's expansion.

“We are excited to bring the Fresh to Table concept at our Norwich and New London stores,” said Ken Capano Jr., owner and operator of the three ShopRite locations. “We offer a variety of delicious freshly prepared foods that provide extra convenience for customers looking for ready-to-serve options for their families.” TheShopRite of Norwich and the ShopRite of New London are operated by Five Star Supermarkets, which is owned by the Capano family.

Designed within the store’s existing footprint, Fresh to Table reinvents traditional produce and fresh departments to generate more sales from customers looking to save time and money. These include sections with ready-to-cook items, ready-to-heat and serve foods and ready-to-eat meals. The multi-purpose space also features new foods from ShopRite’s Own Brands, including ShopRite’s award-winning Bowl & Basket and Wholesome Pantry lines.

“Fresh to Table offers a new way for customers to access fresh foods and take home easy-to-prepare meals,” said Melissa Bullard, whose family owns and operates the ShopRite grocery store on Aramingo Avenue.

Curated by ShopRite chefs, these budget-friendly meals are procured from various departments across the ShopRite stores. Fresh to Table meals can be ordered using ShopRite’s Order Express app for delivery or via DoorDash as well as on ShopRite’s online shopping service.

Wakefern Food Corp., the country’s largest retailer-owned cooperative, includes ShopRite supermarkets in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.
