A veteran food executive with more than 25 years of information technology experience, Kosla posted on his LinkedIn account that “I am excited to be joining HPE as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and I'm looking forward to meeting the teams, partners and customers of the company.”

Kosla joined Ahold Delhaize USA in April 2021 to oversee all aspects of IT and support digital solutions and omnichannel strategy for Ahold Delhaize’s USA banners that include Stop & Shop, Giant Food, Giant/Martin’s, Food Lion and Hannaford.

Retail Business Services issued the following statement to WGB late Wednesday: “We appreciate Rom for his service to our organization and wish him all the best in the future.” No other details were provided.

HPE announced Kosla's appointment on Tuesday.

“Over the last several years, HPE has taken on massive transformations of its internal systems to position us for success,” EVP and Chief Operating and Legal Officer John Schultz said in a statement. “I am confident that the breadth of Rom’s experience in the digital front-end and complex distribution and supply chain spaces, makes him the perfect person to build upon that work.”

Prior to his tenure at Retail Business Services, Kosla was the SVP and CIO of corporate and enterprise solutions at PepsiCo. He holds a B.S. in computer science from Cleveland State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
