Aldi’s supercharged 2023 growth plans continue this week with four new store openings planned for Thursday.

The discount grocer is looking to end the year with a nationwide store count of more than 2,400. According to Aldi’s website, the Illinois-based grocery chain currently has 2,336 locations.

On Thursday, Aldi will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the following new stores:

  • 630 Boll Weevil Circle, Enterprise, Alabama

  • 300 North Perryville Boulevard, Perryville, Missouri

  • 50 Troy Town Drive, Troy, Ohio

  • 4570 Gratiot Road, Kimball Township, Michigan

“We’re excited to open our first Aldi store in Kimball Township and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping,” said Ryan Fritsch, Webberville regional vice president for Aldi, in a statement.

With the holiday season approaching, Aldi recently cut prices on over 70 Thanksgiving favorites. “With inflation still looming, we're providing shoppers extra relief to make the holidays a time for celebration, not stress,” said Dave Rinaldo, president of Aldi, in a statement.

The discount grocer also recently revealed over 350 curated food items for holiday hosting. Looking to offer budget-friendly offerings to shoppers this holiday season, Aldi’s holiday food selection is not only larger than ever but also includes over 70 new items with the majority priced under $10, according to a company press release.

From gourmet cheeses and charcuterie to snacks, wine and beyond, Joan Kavanaugh, vice president of national buying at Aldi, said in a statement that the holidays “should be spent with friends and family, not scouring grocery shelves for better prices.”

In addition to these offerings, each week within the popular Aldi Finds aisle, the discount grocer will release a limited-time selection of gifts, clothing, home décor and more.

Counting down to the holidays, the no-frills German discount grocery chain will roll out its 2023 Aldi Advent & Holiday Calendars just in time for National Advent Calendar Day on Wednesday.
