Aldi is showing no signs of slowing its unit growth as it readies to open three new stores on Thursday and one on Friday.

The new locations are part of the grocery retailer’s nationwide growth plan, which has seen more than 1,000 new Aldi store openings throughout the U.S. over the past decade. Aldi is looking to close out the year with a store count nationwide of more than 2,400 locations.

On Thursday, Aldi will hold ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the following new stores:

  • 9503 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana

  • 7505 Spout Springs Road, Buford, Georgia

  • 2596 Dodge Street, Dubuque, Iowa

On Friday, Aldi will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest West Coast location at 955 East Anaheim Street, Long Beach, California.

The fast-growing grocer frequently opens multiple new stores in a week.

Aldi is “excited to continue to offer Long Beach residents an affordable way of shopping,” Moreno Valley Group Director of Operations and Logistics for Aldi Tom Cindel said in a statement. This is the second Aldi location in the Long Beach community.

With a business model that is “intentionally different,” the Batavia, Illinois-based chain has not only rolled out new unit growth this year but a new website as well that features an online shopping portal that drives shoppers through the grocer's own channels, rather than solely through third-party platforms.

Founded in 1961, Aldi  now operates 2,341 stores nationwide, according to the discount grocer’s website.
