Further expanding its local NYC offerings, Jet has teamed up with Fulton Fish Market for fresh seafood delivery, available daily via the e-tailer’s City Grocery experience.

An iconic New York marketplace, Fulton Fish Market, in the Bronx, N.Y., provides wholesale seafood to restaurants as well as consumers via its online platform, FultonFishMarket.com. The new partnership makes Jet the largest e-commerce platform (among Jet’s competitive set) to team up with FultonFishMarket.com, and the only platform to offer same-day delivery in NYC.

Jet will feature an initial lineup of 24 SKUs of sustainably sourced seafood, including fresh bronzini, wild Chilean sea bass and fresh wild yellowfin tuna, with item prices ranging from $7.99 to $42.99.

“As we continue to grow the Jet City Grocery experience, with a focus on fresh products, The Fulton Fish Market is the best partner we could bring on to deliver high-quality, fresh seafood to our shoppers,” said Jet’s president, Simon Belsham, in a statement. “Jet customers will now be able to order nearly 25 varieties of sustainably sourced seafood straight to their door and know that the product is being provided by a trusted source. It is yet another convenience Jet is bringing to our urban consumers in the New York City area.”

Fulton Fish Market fresh receives product daily between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. and will deliver to Jet’s Bronx Fulfillment Center—a 10-minute drive away—by 8 a.m., according to the statement. Shoppers have the option for same-day delivery between 6 and 9 p.m. if orders are placed before noon.

Touting full transparency within the often-cloudy seafood industry, Fulton Fish Market also said it buys only whole fish as opposed to filets to allow each species and origin to be appropriately identified.

“Both companies pride themselves in disrupting the traditional food delivery industry and have the shared goal of providing the highest-quality and freshest product to end consumers efficiently,” said Mike Spindler, CEO of Fulton Fish Market.

After acquiring Jet in a $3.3 billion deal in 2016, Walmart Inc. introduced its rebranded Jet.com last fall, targeting a more convenient and personalized experience for city-dwelling consumers. The refreshed website offers a tailored product assortment featuring local brands and customized recommendations across grocery, home, fashion, beauty and electronics, as well as a “city grocery experience” with three-hour same-day and next-day delivery options.

Jet also recently partnered with Blue Apron to provide meal kit delivery to consumers in New York City, Jersey City and Hoboken, N.J., marking Blue Apron’s first partnership with an e-tailer.
